Forum of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched in India

The Business Forum of#nbsp;the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation began its work in#nbsp;India on#nbsp;Monday.

"On April 3, a#nbsp;forum organized by#nbsp;the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation and the Federation of#nbsp;Indian Chambers of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry (FICCI) began its work in#nbsp;India. The Russian delegation at#nbsp;the forum is#nbsp;very extensive#nbsp;— more than 120 people will take part in#nbsp;it, including representatives of#nbsp;regions and regional business companies. There has never been such a#nbsp;large-scale forum, in#nbsp;such a#nbsp;format," said Mr#nbsp;Igor Piasetskii, Honorary Representative of#nbsp;the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation in#nbsp;India.

Mr#nbsp;Piasetskii noted that the forum was attended by#nbsp;representatives from the light, chemical, pharmaceuticals, IT, mechanical engineering, automotive, and innovative technologies industries. He#nbsp;added that Russian companies sent Indian partners information about themselves, their business and their wishes for meetings in#nbsp;the B2B (business-to-business) format.

"Either Russian companies themselves found partners on#nbsp;the Internet, or#nbsp;they used the information provided by#nbsp;FICCI. The B2B format assumes that the participants have already become familiar with the activities of#nbsp;each of#nbsp;their parties. At#nbsp;their negotiations, some agreements should be#nbsp;reached on#nbsp;further steps," he#nbsp;said.

The event is#nbsp;held under the patronage of#nbsp;the President of#nbsp;the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation Mr#nbsp;Sergey Katyrin, who heads the Russian delegation. As#nbsp;noted in#nbsp;the statement of#nbsp;the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry, Russian companies mainly represent medium-sized businesses. It#nbsp;is#nbsp;expected that over 300 Indian businessmen will take part in#nbsp;the meetings with the Russian delegation.

The Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation noted that the Indian partners have prepared a#nbsp;rich business program#nbsp;— in#nbsp;addition to#nbsp;the forum, the visit of#nbsp;the Russian delegation will include the signing of#nbsp;an#nbsp;updated cooperation agreement, visits to#nbsp;technoparks, special economic zones for industrial development, and the inauguration of#nbsp;the Headquarters of#nbsp;the Honorary representative of#nbsp;the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation in#nbsp;India. There will also be#nbsp;a#nbsp;presentation of#nbsp;the program of#nbsp;exhibition events by#nbsp;Expocentre for 2023.

"FICCI has previously deployed a#nbsp;special electronic platform on#nbsp;its infrastructure, the use of#nbsp;which significantly increases the practical impact and efficiency of#nbsp;the planned negotiations," the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation noted.

The main purpose of#nbsp;the visit is#nbsp;to#nbsp;strengthen relations with the business associations of#nbsp;India, promote the establishment of#nbsp;direct contacts between Russian businesses and the Indian business community, as#nbsp;well as#nbsp;familiarize with new opportunities for cooperation.
