On 4–5 December 2025, the India–Russia Business Forum took place in New Delhi — a key bilateral platform dedicated to advancing Russian-Indian economic cooperation. The event brought together representatives of government bodies, business communities, industrial associations, and experts from both countries, becoming a central highlight of the official visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to India and his meeting with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
The forum was organized by the Roscongress Foundation in cooperation with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). Its main focus was on strengthening trade and economic ties, enhancing industrial cooperation, expanding business participation, and establishing resilient logistical and investment frameworks between the two countries.
During plenary sessions and business discussions, participants addressed a wide range of topics — from the growth of bilateral trade and diversification of exports to joint technological initiatives, industrial production, pharmaceuticals, energy, educational cooperation, and tourism exchanges. Special attention was given to the implementation of the long-term economic strategy "Vision 2030," signed following high-level talks.
Among the distinguished participants of the event was Mr. Igor Piasetskii, the Honorary Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in India. He took an active part in the discussions, emphasizing the vital role of direct dialogue between the business communities of both countries and the growing importance of Russian-Indian cooperation amid global economic shifts. His presence at the forum made a significant contribution to strengthening professional and institutional ties between Russia and India.
The forum reaffirmed its status as a leading platform where representatives of government and business circles of Russia and India can develop concrete solutions aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership and unlocking new opportunities for joint development.
